Extra Opacifier Technology

Extra Life covers 120–135 sq ft per litre on the first coat, and 60–68 sq ft per litre finished over the two coats recommended.
Indian exterior emulsions are normally quoted on the finished two-coat figure, which for this category sits broadly between 50 and 70 sq ft per litre. Extra Life sits at the upper end of that band, which on a typical Kerala elevation is the difference of a tin or two across the job.
Extra Titanium Technology
A white with nothing grey behind it.
Extra Life is a brilliant white exterior emulsion built on a titanium-rich pigment load, so the base white reads clean rather than chalky or blue.
Whiteness is what every tinted shade is mixed into. A dull base drags every colour on the fan deck down with it, which is why the whiteness of the base matters even when the wall is not going to be white.
High Opacity Pigment Technology
Two coats, not three.
High opacity pigment lets Extra Life cover a patched, repaired or previously coloured wall in the two coats specified, instead of needing a third to bury the substrate.
Hiding and coverage are different properties and are often confused. Coverage is how far the tin goes; hiding is whether you can still see what was underneath. A paint that stretches far but hides poorly costs more in the end, because the third coat is labour as well as material.
Extra Reflective Technology
A semi-gloss finish, measured at 17 ± 2 gloss units.
Extra Life dries to a semi-gloss film measured at 17 ± 2 GU at 60° — a soft sheen that catches light along the wall rather than a hard shine.
Sheen is not only an aesthetic decision on an exterior. A tighter, less porous film gives airborne dust and spores less to key into, which is why sheen and dirt resistance tend to move together on a specification sheet.
Extra Polymer Shield Technology
Washable without polishing a patch into the wall.
Extra Life is formulated to take repeated cleaning, so a marked or splashed section can be washed down without burnishing a shiny patch into the surrounding film.
Most exterior walls are never washed because the owner has been told the paint will not survive it. Washability is what turns the lower metre of a boundary wall — the part that takes every monsoon splash — into a maintenance job rather than a repaint.
Low Dirt Retention Technology
Dirt arrives. It just doesn’t settle in.
Low Dirt Retention Technology reduces how much airborne dust and grime the dried film holds on to, so exterior walls stay looking fresher between washes.
This is the property the industry calls dirt pick-up resistance, or DPR. It is worth being precise about the direction: the goal is low dirt retention, meaning the surface releases dirt rather than gripping it. On a roadside or coastal elevation this is usually what people are really judging when they say a paint has aged badly.
Long Life Resin Technology

A long-life resin holds the film together through the cycle that actually breaks exterior paint in this part of the country: months of direct sun, then months of near-constant wetting, then salt-laden air along the coast.
Extra Bio Shield Technology
The north wall problem.
Extra Life includes bio protection that guards the painted surface against algal and fungal growth, the failure mode that green-streaks shaded walls in high-rainfall districts.
Kerala takes more than 3,000 mm of rain a year across much of the state. On a shaded or north-facing elevation that never fully dries between showers, algae is not a maintenance issue — it is the thing that makes a three-year-old paint job look ten. Bio protection in the film is what buys that wall its years back.

Application
Four steps, two coats.
Surface preparation decides how the finish ages. These are the steps from the technical data sheet, in order. In Kerala the dry window after the north-east monsoon is the usual season for exterior work.
Prepare the surface
Clean, dry and free from dust, grease, oil, loose particles, algae and fungal growth. Remove all loose and flaking material before anything else goes on the wall.
Make good
Repair cracks and surface imperfections before painting. Freshly plastered surfaces must be adequately cured first — painting green plaster is the most common cause of early failure.
First coat
Stir thoroughly, dilute with clean water at 40%, and apply the first coat uniformly by brush, roller or spray.
Second coat
Allow 4–6 hours, then apply the second coat uniformly. The film is hard dry in 8–10 hours and fully cured in 7 days.

How many coats of Extra Life are needed?
