For high rainfall, humidity and heat, start with Majestic or More Life. Majestic is the ultra-premium exterior emulsion, built on Lotus Effect Technology so water beads off and carries dust and dirt with it, and it carries a 12 year performance warranty. More Life is formulated specifically for extreme tropical conditions, with anti-fungal and anti-algal properties and high dirt pick-up resistance. If you want maximum shade choice instead, Alpha Advanced offers a satin sheen across more than 1,200 shades.

They do three different jobs in the same system. A primer goes on first and creates the bond: it grips the surface, evens out absorbency and blocks stains, which is what Super Seal, Signature and Add-On are for. A waterproofing coat blocks water at the source and is used where damp, seepage or leaks are the problem, which is Damp Shield and Aqua Seal. An emulsion is the finish coat you actually see: the colour, the sheen and the weather protection on top. Skipping the primer is the most common reason a good emulsion fails early.

Yes, on almost every surface. A primer is what stops the topcoat peeling, flaking or soaking unevenly into the wall. Turbolux makes three: Super Seal, a fibre-technology primer with deeper penetration and a 3 year warranty; Add-On, a cement wall primer for extra opacity and brightness on interior and exterior surfaces; and Signature. New plaster, patched areas and any wall that has never been painted always need one.

It depends on where the water is coming from. Damp Shield is a reinforced elastomeric coating for exterior walls and terraces: it penetrates deep into concrete capillaries, bridges cracks with 3mm fibre technology and carries a 7 year warranty. Aqua Seal is a Nano-Polymer barrier coat that stops rising damp and the white salt bloom called efflorescence, backed by a 10 year performance warranty. It varies by product. Mirror Black and Mirror Grey are touch dry in about 30 minutes and can be recoated after 4 to 6 hours. Everguard is formulated as a fast-drying floor and roof coat so the surface can go back into service quickly. Drying times stretch in high humidity, so allow longer during the monsoon and follow the recoat interval printed on the pack.

Warranty is set per product, not across the brand. Majestic carries a 12 year performance warranty, which is the longest in the Turbolux exterior line-up. Aqua Seal carries 10 years, Damp Shield 7 years and Super Seal 3 years. Products not listed here do not carry a warranty term.
