Surface dry.
Touch dry in five minutes, recoat at six hours, back in service in twenty-four. A weekend shutdown is enough to prime, build and hand the plant back.

Steelwork takes its worst punishment in the yard and on the truck. The DM film is built for superior abrasion, impact and mechanical durability, so what arrives on site still looks like what left the shop.

Kerala weather is the test: monsoon humidity, salt in the coastal air, and long dry heat in between. Prestige puts a barrier between all of that and the steel.

Water and moisture out.
Low permeability, once the film has fully cured.
Twenty-four hours to full cure. After that the film resists water and moisture, and the low-permeability barrier protects the substrate from whatever the weather brings.
Getting it right
Film build, application, preparation.
The performance above is what the film delivers. This is how you get it — the coats, the intervals and the preparation that decide the result.
Protection comes from thickness, not from one heavy pass.
Two to three coats, a minimum of six hours apart. That is what turns a coat of paint into a system.
Final build
Where exposure is harshest — chemical plant, coastal air, wash-down areas.
After the recoat interval
A minimum of six hours on. This coat closes the film and brings up the gloss.
Bonds to the substrate
Wets into the prepared surface and anchors the system.
Concrete, steel, iron or wood
Clean, dry, sound and fully cured.

Stir and thin
Stir thoroughly before use. Dilute with thinner as required — the material may also be applied undiluted by brush.

First coat
Apply one uniform coat and allow it to dry. Surface dry is reached in about five minutes at normal ambient conditions.

Second coat
Apply the second coat only after the recoat interval has passed. This coat closes the film and brings up the gloss.

Build the film
Apply a minimum of two to three coats to reach the film thickness that best performance needs. Protection comes from thickness, not from one heavy pass.

Cure
Allow a minimum of six hours between coats, and twenty-four hours to full cure before the surface goes back into service.
Flammable. Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame, and ventilate the work area well. Use thinned material within 24 hours of dilution. Brush and roller are the primary recommended methods.

Cleaning
Remove dust, dirt, oil, grease, wax and other contaminants, using a suitable solvent or degreaser if required. Eliminate rust, mill scale, old loose paint and flaking coatings by scraping, wire brushing, sanding or abrasive blasting.

Repair defects
Fill cracks, pinholes and surface voids with a compatible epoxy filler or repair mortar. Work back to a smooth, sound and level surface before coating.

Ensure dryness
The surface must be clean and completely dry, and concrete must be fully cured before priming. Do not apply over damp or contaminated substrates.
Preparation decides the result. On metal, mill scale and loose rust left under a primer will lift the whole system later — no coating recovers from a poorly prepared substrate.
