Aqua Seal: Damp-Proof, Salt-Resistant Wall Coating for Kerala Homes

Waterproofing

Damp patches and white salt stains keep coming back? Aqua Seal seals walls at the molecular level so they stay dry, healthy and clean.

Short answer: Turbolux Aqua Seal is a water-based, damp-proof and salt-resistant barrier coating powered by Nano-Polymer Technology. Its ultra-fine particles sink into the wall pores and form a dense, continuous seal that blocks water and dissolved salts, stopping dampness, seepage and white efflorescence at the source. It is anti-microbial, anti-blister and anti-peeling, bonds strongly to cement surfaces, and is backed by a 10 Year Performance Warranty. Use it on damp-prone concrete and plaster walls before you paint.

What is Turbolux Aqua Seal?

Aqua Seal is a damp-proof and salt-resistant barrier coating built for walls that keep getting wet from the inside. In Kerala, long monsoons and high year-round humidity push moisture through concrete and plaster, leaving damp patches, blistered paint and chalky white deposits. Aqua Seal is designed to sit between that moisture and your finish coat, keeping the wall dry and the paint intact.

It is water-based, so it is easy to apply by brush or roller, low in odour and safe to use indoors. The real difference is what it does below the surface: instead of just coating the wall, its Nano-Polymer particles penetrate deep into the pores and seal them from within.

What causes damp patches and white efflorescence?

When water moves through a wall, it carries dissolved mineral salts with it. As the water reaches the surface and evaporates, those salts are left behind as a white, powdery crust. That crust is called efflorescence, and it is a sure sign that moisture is travelling through the masonry. The same moisture lifts and blisters ordinary paint, feeds mould and fungus, and slowly damages the plaster and concrete underneath.

Painting straight over a damp, salty wall never lasts, because the problem is behind the paint, not on it. To fix it for good you have to block both the water and the salt. That is exactly what Aqua Seal is formulated to do.

How does Nano-Polymer Technology work?

Aqua Seal is powered by advanced Nano-Polymer Technology. Its micro-particles are fine enough to penetrate deep into the pores of the surface, where they knit together into a dense, continuous waterproof seal at the molecular level.

That molecular barrier does two jobs at once. It blocks liquid water from moving through the wall, and it stops dissolved salts from migrating to the surface. With the water and salt held back, dampness, seepage and efflorescence are cut off at the source, and the wall stays protected for years rather than months.

What are the key benefits of Aqua Seal?

BenefitWhat it means for your wall
Damp proofControls moderate dampness so walls stay dry and free of seepage patches
Salt resistantBlocks efflorescence and salt attack for a clean, lasting finish
Anti-microbialResists the fungi and bacteria that thrive on damp walls
Anti-blister & anti-peelingKeeps the top coat smooth and stops paint lifting
Strong adhesionBonds tightly to cement, plaster and masonry
10 year warrantyBacked performance you can plan around

Beyond protecting the structure, a dry wall is a healthier wall. Blocking damp and mould helps reduce the musty smell, allergies and respiratory irritation that come with a constantly wet room, and it extends the life of the concrete and plaster underneath.

How do you apply Aqua Seal?

Aqua Seal is made for cementitious surfaces and goes on in a few straightforward steps. First, prepare the surface: clean the wall well and remove dust, grease, loose plaster, flaking paint and any existing white efflorescence, then let it dry. Next, stir the product thoroughly and apply the first coat evenly, giving the Nano-Polymer formula time to soak into the pores. Apply 2 to 3 coats in total for a continuous barrier, letting each coat dry before the next. Finally, allow the last coat to cure fully so it forms a dense, salt-resistant seal, then finish with your chosen Turbolux emulsion.

Frequently asked questions

Is Aqua Seal a paint or a primer?

Neither exactly. It is a barrier coating you apply to damp-prone walls before your finish paint. It seals the surface against water and salt, then you top it with a Turbolux emulsion.

Will it stop very heavy leaks?

Aqua Seal controls moderate dampness and seepage. For active roof leaks or ponding water, use a dedicated waterproofing system such as Damp Shield on terraces or Leak Lock in wet areas, then use Aqua Seal on the walls.

Does it really stop the white salt deposits?

Yes. By blocking salt migration through the wall, Aqua Seal stops fresh efflorescence forming. Remove existing salt crust first so the coating bonds to a clean surface.

What surfaces can I use it on?

Concrete, plaster and masonry walls that are prone to dampness, both inside and out. Make sure the surface is clean, sound and dry before application.

How long does the protection last?

Aqua Seal is engineered for lasting performance and is backed by a 10 Year Performance Warranty when applied correctly on a properly prepared surface.
